Reedy Industries teamed up with KaBOOM, a national nonprofit organization, to develop a new playground for Our Lady of Tepeyac School in Chicago.
Where there was once a debris-strewn empty lot is now a beautiful and inviting space for children to climb, swing, run, and jump. Reedy assembled a small army of volunteers, more than 125 in all, to prepare the site, assemble and build a wonderful playground for the school’s 235 children. Not only did many Reedy employees generously volunteer their valuable time on a Saturday, but the company itself donated the financial resources to help pay for the materials and equipment.

Starting early in the morning and working until late in the day, many Reedy Industries employees worked continuously to get the playground finished. While some volunteers worked with shovel and saws, others worked with glue and yarn to keep the children occupied and having fun.
Were the staff and students of Our Lady of Tepeyac happy with the result? Just look at the many smiling faces and the wonderful banner they prepared.
