Reedy Industries teamed up with KaBOOM, a national nonprofit organization, to develop a new playground for UNO - Veterans Memorial School in Chicago.
Where there was once an empty lot is now a beautiful and inviting space for children to climb, swing, run, and jump. Reedy assembled a small army of volunteers, more than 100 in all, to prepare the site, assemble and build a wonderful playground for the school's 1,200 children. Not only did many Reedy employees generously volunteer their valuable time on a Saturday, but the company itself company itself donated the financial resources to help pay for the materials and equipment.

Starting early in the morning and working until late in the day, many Reedy Industries employees worked continuously to get the playground finished. While some volunteers worked with shovel and saws, others worked with glue and yarn to keep the children occupied and having fun. You can see the progression in the images to the right.
Were the staff and students of UNO - Veterans Memorial School in Chicago happy with the result? Just look at the many smiling faces.
